MOOCS

Hello everybody! Have you ever heard what the MOOCs is? It sounds like a cow coughing on a piece of grass, isn't it? 😃 Before, I also did not know about such a platform. Perhaps, I would be rather skeptical about this service, if I found out about it earlier. But, thanks to my tutor and her course at the university, I learned a lot about the usefulness of the MOOCs. Now I want to share this information with you. MOOCs are called massive because enrollment is not limited ; instead of having a cap on students based around either physical space or teaching quality (grading for a hundred students versus a potentially unlimited number is quite different), the online courses offered allow anyone to enroll for free with no limit on how many students can enroll. This changes things, including how a course can possibly be graded without the manpower to go through thousands of tests and papers by hands, or who is able to attend, since anyone anywhere with an internet connec

WIKI

Hello everybody! It's not a secret for anyone what Wikipedia is and how it works. Of course, this is incredibly useful and perhaps the most popular service created on the wiki. But do you guess how you can use wiki services (not only Wikipedia) for educational purposes? Today I'm going to look at examples of such services and try to understand how it can be useful for us. First of all, what is WIKI? Wiki is a web technology used for collaborative publishing on the web. Wiki is a type of server software that allows you to work with data on a remote server on the Web. Users interact with the software through a web interface that lets them read, edit and publish content. At the moment, wikis are actively used in education and there are a significant number of such resources. Now we will look at some of them in more detail. WIKISPACES I find Wikispaces to be the best among those services that are offered for training on the wiki platform. It not

GOOGLE SERVICES

Hello everbody! At the moment, Google offers a lot of useful and free services. It has services for work and leisure, search and communication, business development and much more. Today I'll try to talk about some Google products and their use in teaching. GOOGLE DOCS Google Docs is a very useful service for work and learning. Perhaps its main advantage to Microsoft Word is free. Also, Google Docs offers many inaccessible or limited on other services functions, such as auto-saving and access to the document for different people. In teaching, Google Docs has a wide range of uses, from the simplest test in the text format to the serious scientific work performed and controlled by a group of people. The service is free.  Everything is stored in the cloud. Simple file sharing.  Tools for teamwork.  A convenient history of changes.  Voice input.  GOOGLE CLASSROOM Classroom is a free service for educational institutions and no

BOOKMARKS

Hello everybody! Today I'm going to tell you about Bookmarks and some services to create your own bookmarks. In 2008 the amount of such services was pretty poor. The services didn't offer a large number of opportunities. But fortunately the tecnology has developed successfully and now there are many convenient and usefull services sites for creating bookmarks. And now I try to analyze the evolution of bookmark services. Nine years ago, users had to install additional software to create their own bookmarks. It was also difficult to choose the most suitable bookmarking service, since most of them remained unfinished. The best for storing bookmarks were Google bookmarks . As for social bookmarking services (such as Delicious ), they were actively used and sometimes were more preferable than browser bookmarks. In 2012, social bookmarks gradually faded into the background. Users preferred browser bookmarks, but they still did not have a modern look and requ

Today I'm going to tell you about the resources for creating presentations and stock services.  Nowadays, presentations are actively used in various spheres of life (business, economics, etc.).
